42. All Things Under His Feet

All things will be put under Christ's feet:

Psalm 8:6 - "Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet."

1 Corinthians 15:25 - "For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet."

1 Corinthians 15:27 - "For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him."

Ephesians 1:22 - "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church."

Hebrews 2:8 - "Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him."

Notice that what is still to be done in the future is put in the past tense because of the certainty of it. Everything going on in this world is Christ putting all things under His feet, which will be completed in glory.

Philippians 3:21 - "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

Hebrews 10:13 - "From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool."

Psalm 110:1 - "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool."

Acts 2:34,35 - "For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool."

Daniel 7:13,14 - "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."

Acts 3:21 - "Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began."

1 Peter 3:22 - "Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him."

1 Corinthians 15:22-28 - "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all."

Note the order:
(1.) Christ will rise,
(2.) Then those who are His at His coming (before the Millennium),
(3.) Then the end, when (a.) He delivers the kingdom to God and (b.) He puts all HIs enemies under His feet. This is the Millennium when His rule shall be displayed for all to see.
